peloton intermediate

i’ve had my bike nearly a year and love it to bits, but i only recently started branching out into the digital classes. can anyone speak to the jump in difficulty between beginner and intermediate classes? when i look at the cover images for the intermediate classes, it seems like i see a lot of upside down anna. :) maybe those poses are not as intimidating as they seem, but just figured i’d see if anyone has advice. side note: if you’re new to peloton yoga, or “hated” yoga like i did before finding anna, i highly recommend giving her a shot. i took one of denis’ intermediate classes and didn’t do anything crazy. i’d say give it a shot, sounds like you’re ready!

i totally agree with your side note!you’re ready for intermediate when you’re familiar enough with the poses to know when and how to modify. anna does do more inversions than other instructors but they’re in the context of slow improvements: handstand hops, modified headstands, crow pose with a foot on the ground, etc.i personally dig the inversions but have to heavily modify or skip the super bendy stuff for now.give a few intermediate classes a try and remember to modify. thank you so much for the input! that is super helpful and encouraging. i find that there’s a big jump in difficulty between beginner yoga flow and intermediate classes. that is such a helpful tip about the shorter classes to transition, and also looking at the difficulty ratings. i 100% agree about the difficulty. the way i score difficulty is naturally dependent on my own abilities, so i always have a hard time rating them, especially in yoga.
