john buttarazzi is a public policy and public-private partnership (p3) professional with more than 25 years of experience. he recently worked on p3 pre-feasibility studies for a new marine fuel terminal in zanzibar and airport terminal operations for the julius nyerere international airport (dar) in dar es salaam, tanzania. in that capacity he oversaw the operations of more than 20 foreign and domestic offices as well as the esdc economic development financing section. john buttarazzi received his master of science from the columbia university graduate school of architecture, planning and preservation, with a concentration in development and his bachelor of science, cum laude, from washington & lee university where he majored in mathematics with significant course work in economics and history. in addition to teaching at the mccourt school, john is a visiting lecturer with the princeton university woodrow wilson school of public and international affairs. he is also a member of the united nations economic commission for europe team of specialists on public-private partnerships and is on the board of advisors for mobilized construction, which is developing community-based road maintenance programs in africa.
